Loddiswell: Drews, Harvey, Hurrell, Luscombe (c), Hallett, Hillard, Unlike the previous game Lodds started a bit slowly and were a bit sloppy in possession. However they gradually got a foothold on the match and started forcing Saints onto the defensive. Hurrell continued his recent good goal scoring form when a corner was only partially cleared; he was on hand to smash a low shot past the keeper. Within 10 minutes it was 2-0 when Smallridge forced the ball over the line. The second half continued with Lodds in the ascendancy and it wasn’t long before Robey collected a clearance, accelerated goal wards before cutting in and wrong footing the keeper with a placed shot into the corner. Hammett, Stathers and Raymont were all introduced in quick succession as Lodds continued to dominate proceedings. However despite numerous chances Lodds failed to extend their lead, however managed to see the game out without incident. |
