The Ressies came off the pitch feeling very hard done by, after doing more than enough to share the points with a strengthened Stoke Gabriel 3rds side.

With the rock hard conditions seeing the ball bounce awkwardly Lodds showed many times the ability they have when the ball is passed to feet, as their one touch football created many openings but without the finish.

As Lodds pushed forward Stoke relied on the break, which in the whole were snubbed out by the Loddiswell back four. However, mid way through the first half, failure to clear their lines gifted Stoke with a soft goal.

From this moment on Lodds dominated possession with Stoke finding Teague in good form in goal when they did break. Half-time substitute Luke Bateman, almost created and scored the equaliser with his first action of the game, but saw his shot blocked.

Although almost entirely camped in the Stoke half Lodds failed to test the 'keeper, with Chris Guards long-range lob that just cleared the bar, the only exception.

A point a piece would have been a fair out come to this match but it wasn't to be, so the squad must pick themselves up and move on to next Tuesday's game away to Babbacombe.
